Xlabs in a Box

“We add a floor to the tower and allow more people to see it” said one of the participants at the end of the X-labs in a BOX program at the tower insurance company.
In simple words, did Straatya succeed in distilling the meaning of the program into a short and precise sentence?

At the beginning of July we set off, a group of 27 brave and talented managers from the Migdal insurance company accompanied by 9 business and technologist mentors from Strauss. Together we put together 3 purposeful groups.

What’s important:
1. Did we leave the ego out, most of the time?
2. We left the box of a tower and entered the box of entrepreneurship. Everyone felt that the box is not always comfortable and certainly not padded.
3. We believed that we would get tools for professional life

Today the participants of the program know that it was a once-in-a-lifetime journey, and this is just the beginning of several journeys that will create tremendous digital business value for Migdal’s customers and, of course, for Migdal itself.
Each of the 3 groups set a goal to identify products from the insurance world or capabilities of great business significance, as they say in the language of startups – “that will move the needle”.

You must be asking yourself.. ok cool but is this just what comes out of this show?
And with modesty we can say, happily, no! ?
All those taking part in the journey received dozens of practical tools from the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, digital and technology and created a great internal work network that we are sure will run for the long term.
Together we built a team that the Migdal management wants to see take it to new heights.

The participants went through a DT workshop, because in the 21st century it is not enough to have skills in one field, they acquired the understanding of what a product thinking process is which is critical to the survival of a business organization.
The participants learned what Product Branding is on the one hand and on the other and no less challenging how to build a product based on lean architecture and MVP thinking and all of this in a short and focused pitch storytelling package that incorporates a video and takes less than 10 minutes, without forgetting the Go To market.

What you will see in the video is a very impressive expression of a management that puts the end customer at the core of its actions, believes in its managers, understands that change starts from within and that it is necessary to create quick projects like in a start-up.

Huge congratulations to Tomer Rubinstein, VP Digital, Innovation and Marketing and the Migdal management team for the vision, belief and leading from end to end with enormous determination.
We at Strauss are proud to take part in this tremendous project X-labs in a BOX at Migdal insurance company.
