Initial insights from a round table on data

In the busy and complex reality, in the circles of women, companies and organizations, it is always good to share with colleagues and colleagues common business and management challenges and to find that everyone is in the same boat, in the same storm.

These weeks we are holding a series of round table meetings on the data challenges in the organization and how to build an information-oriented enterprise organization for 2025.
In a dialogue that creates, shares and helps with the active participation of the leading data and digital managers in Israel, we see dealing with the same challenges in the various organizations and sectors in Israel.

Here are some insights from the field:
The recurring discourse is how intertwined data is in every decision, process and business interaction and how difficult it is to become an information-driven organization.
There is overwhelming agreement among the participants that it is necessary to distill the business challenge, what do we actually want to achieve? What will bring the business value to the company? Technology is an effective means, but there are many white elephant projects in organizations and refined data is the essence and that is where we should strive, for data that motivates action.

It appears that organizations are falling in love with implementing approaches to leveraging data – from predictive systems to artificial intelligence-driven automation – and are actually leaving value on the table and creating inefficiencies. Many business problems are still solved using traditional approaches, not using data leverage and certainly not in real time.

We see that a data-based business culture is required as an engine for business initiatives, business units and technologies that understand and work together business and technology in a harmonious diffusion, and how again… they all come back to the main element underlying the success of any business process – the human element. The applicability of a data-oriented organization is primarily based on an appropriate organizational culture.

The meetings revealed to us a real need among key people in the various organizations who want to consult with peers and colleagues, and together with the Strauss firm’s ability to gather the best managers around one table to discuss diverse issues, to create openness and honesty among those present, colleagues from different organizations, including competitors and some with opinions Opposing, brought those around to share information, contribute to the discussion, help other managers to reach interesting and creative solutions, and create inter-sector collaborations.

These meetings are of great value for us and for our clients. The expertise of our people in the field of data in the business, organizational and technological aspects can serve many organizations down the road in building the data strategy (business and technology), in bridging between business units, in implementation and assimilation and in accelerating the construction of data-based growth engines.

To contact us and receive information about the next meetings, we will be happy to hear from you!
